Our schools work closely with our Catholic parishes to retain and strengthen our combined Catholic identity.
Historically, our Diocesan primary schools were built on parish land. The partnership with the parish and the church was crucial for the school in very practical terms.
In more recent times, this partnership has grown to be more than just practicality. The parish church and school are a parish community which ‘calls each member into a personal relationship with Jesus and is visibly engaged with those who experience poverty and need.’[1]
